School Day Program

Tuition

Tuition is due according to your contract, on the 28th or the 14th of each month in advance.  Payments can be made via the internet or by check through our drop box.  No cash payments unless requested by the director.

Fees

Registration Fee

A non-refundable $20.00 fee is due upon receipt of your application.  This fee is to process your application, materials and interview time.  No refunds will be given.

Comprehensive Fee

A non-refundable $180.00 Comprehensive Fee per school year covers workbooks, creation books and readers for our literacy curriculum and will act as a reservation for your child's start date. To secure their slot, tuition must be paid four weeks prior to your child's start date, unless a promissory letter from Kamehameha Pauahi Keiki Scholars, Open Doors, Alu Like or Child Care Connection has been submitted.

Early Withdrawal Fee

A non-refundable $150.00 withdrawal fee will be held and applied to your last months' tuition, provided we receive a written notice of withdrawal 30 days prior to leaving.  This fee is due at the start of the second month.  We do not prorate, please withdraw at the end of your 30 day cycle.

Late Payment Fee

A non-refundable late fee of $20 per week (five days) is charged for tuition paid after your contracted due date.  If there is seven working days of non-payment, the school reserves the right to revoke your child's reservation for care, and your deposit will be forfeited.  Standard written notification will be generated the first day your payment is late.

Uniforms and School Related Activities

The school uniform is shorts and T-shirts priced at $12.50 per set, with a limit of three sets.  Additional sets cost $16.00.  Uniforms are worn to allow children the opportunity to get dirty and enjoy hands on learning.  All types of footwear are welcomed.  Fridays are free dress days, to allow the children a chance to reflect their personal choices.  The cost of events could range from $7 - $18, depending upon the buses and admission fees.  Everyone at school attends the fieldtrips, families are welcome to join us!

Lunch Program and Snacks

Lanakila Meals on Wheels provides lunches for all school and full day programs.  A $45 discount off of tuition for home lunch is given for families who desire a cultural eating style.  Home lunch and all snacks must meet the meal guidelines provided in the handbook and registration packet.  If your child forgets his or her home lunch, we will purchase it for a $5.00 fee each day your child forgets his or her lunch.  If you would like to purchase school lunch, the cost is $3.45 per day for each day of school.  Please provide two healthy, compliant snacks if your child is in school past 2:15 p.m.  If your child is in other programs, only one healthy snack is required.

Reserving a Slot

No fees are charged for children on the wait list.  Tuition is due 30 days prior to your child's start date and is non-refundable.  A non-refundable reserve slot fee of $100 must be paid to hold your child's slot each month until enrolling. This does not apply to children who are currently enrolled and leaving for vacation, or is out due to illness or other family issues.  This option to reserve a slot is based on availability and is subject to the Administrative Coordinator's discretion.

Late Pickup

You are welcome to reserve care three days prior to your event for a fee of $15 (for two additional hours) per day.  Please submit a written request and payment into the drop box.  If you arrive after your contracted pick up time, the fee is $1 per each minute you are late.  The afternoon enrichment has a 1 - 12 capacity limit, please be mindful of staffing requirements and teachers' desires to meet their families' needs.

Returned check fee

$25.00 fee for all returned checks will be charged.  A cash payment may be required for future transactions, unless otherwise stated in writing by the administrator.

Refund Policy

As a little country school, enrollment is limited, no refund will be given for any tuition.  Early withdrawal, absent days due to vacation or illness will not be credited.  We do not pro-rate tuition; a flat month amount is due.  A 30-day notice of withdrawal in writing is required in receiving the $150.00 deposit to be credited to the last month's tuition.
